Get to Know Vicki
Vicki Sweeney is a mom of two girls Sarah (20) and Shannon (16) and auntie to Kaitlyn (24) and Kristyn (22). Vicki was first licensed in 2011 and after her first year selling, she was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award, a high honour in the brokerage where she worked at. Around 2015, Vicki saw an opportunity to get involved with organized real estate through her local board, the Durham Region Association of Realtors®. Her work with committees would allow her to make a difference in both her community and the industry.
In 2016, she ran for a position on the Board of Directors and has continued to serve. One of Vicki’s proudest achievements was having the opportunity to chair the Charity Action Committee for a few years. Over the years, the Committee broke association records for funds raised for local charities such as Hearth Place, Grandview Children's Centre, and Denise House. Later in 2019, Vicki would be elected as President-Elect by the Board and served as Association President in 2020. She also gives back to fellow realtors® by holding workshops focused on goal setting and personal development using tools like vision boards and using your true "why".

Q - What are you most excited about in this new opportunity as Branch Manager for the Durham office at Right at Home Realty?
I am most excited about getting to know the people, to build on the already great culture in the office. I hope to inspire and grow our team of agents here in the Durham region. I am passionate about the RAHR business model and eager to be part of its growing success.
Q - How can your experience contribute to the company's already continued success?
My experience leads well to the continued success of the company because of the leadership skills I have developed throughout the years, creating a team environment, and empowering individual success through motivation and goal setting. I am a nimble decision-maker with the ability to multitask and am excited to contribute where I can.
Q - How would you describe yourself as a leader?
I would consider my leadership style to be a coaching leader, I like to empower those around me by using guidance and find coaching a more effective style to encourage success and support growth and development.
Q - What is one interesting fact that you would like people to know about you?
One of the most interesting facts about me is, where I have found my personal drive to succeed and my thirst to help others explore their inner potential for prosperity comes form. My personal and family life is a unique story of challenges and loss. I have found strength in my experiences, used them, and will continue to strengthen my skills and encourage growth, find gratitude, and inspire success in others.
