Right at Home Academy (RAHA) is committed to providing both new and experienced sales professionals “real world” real estate skills, knowledge and practical experience to ensure their success in a highly competitive and fluid industry.
Acknowledging the need within the real estate industry for continued education, "'real world" applications, improved business ethics and higher level of professional standards, RAHA is focused on raising the bar in real estate training & development for all REALTORS® within the GTA and surrounding areas to ensure everyone has the opportunity to maximize their real estate professional potential.
RAHA offers comprehensive and innovative programs, workshops and sales training developed and delivered by certified and qualified instructors with background experience in "real world" real estate sales, management and/or real estate related industries.
Right at Home Realty has an extensive training department (Right at Home Academy), that offers regular training in all branch offices.
Sales Representatives have visibility to all training sessions in all branch offices and are encouraged to sign up for topics of interest to them in any branch office.
New courses are offered on a regular basis, based on feedback and interest/ suggestions from our Sales Representatives.
Orientation Training - Transfers
Duration: 3 hours
This training course will ensure the transfer salesperson has the information and processes regarding our systems, intranet, deals processing, ShowingTime, history and other pertinent information to continue their career at Right at Home Realty.
Orientation Training - Phase 5 agents or less than one year licensed
Duration: 4 hours
This training course for Phase 5 graduates is the same as above but, additional time will be spent on creating transaction kits in WEBForms, Broker Loading Listings, OREA Forms and other information to ensure success in their careers with Right at Home Realty.
Training Course: Skills Training Building Your Business Right, One Home at a Time:
Total course time: 12 hours in class.
This eight-module course (each module is 1.5 hours in length) is designed to assist the Right at Home Agent to grow their business and achieve personal success. Each Branch is scheduled for two modules at a time (3 hours class time) twice per month. One being a day class and one being a night class for agents who have other employment during the day.
Topics Covered but not limited to:
Being an Agent of Change: Professionalism, Etiquette, Netiquette, Self-Awareness, Self Reflection of You and Your Business, Overcoming Speed Bumps.
Business Planning: Building a plan, SWOT analysis, Undertakings, Specifics, Goals, Targets, Adaptability.
Branding and Marketing Yourself: Branding your Business, Your Territory, Your Personal Brand, Branding Strategy, Four P’s of Marketing, Marketing Calendar, Internet and Social Media.
Multiple Representation: Disclosure, Terms, Non-disclosure of Terms, Your Responsibilities in Multiple Representation, Updates from RECO, Ontario Government.
Working with Buyers: Inquiries to Buy, Buyers Counselling Appointment, Qualifying, Buyers Presentation, The Buying Process, Buyers Representation vs. Buyers Customer Service Agreements, Wants vs. Needs, Showing Suitable Properties, The Close, Preparing the Offer, Multiple Offers, Offer Presentation, Follow-up on Accepted Offer.
Working with Leases: Residential Tenancies, Residential Tenancies Act, Lease Clauses, Rent Provisions, Assignments, Subletting, Condo Conversions, Terminations.
Working in Preconstruction: This course introduces agents to the process of working in Pre-Construction with both buyers and investors. *This course is facilitated as a individual course as well. Time: 2 hours

NEW - Nine steps to success (working with the Ninja Nine): Facilitator Scott MacPherson
This training session introduces the participant to the concept of working with the Nine steps of the Ninja Selling Installation including: FORD method, Hot and Warm database identification, Personal Mastery. A must-have for new and seasoned agents. Duration: 2 hours
NEW – Understanding Your Communication styles and Its Impact on your Clients: Facilitator: Scott Macpherson
This course helps agents the impact of their communication style on their interaction with their clients. Participants will identify through a Learning Style Inventory their preferred style and how to adapt to their client’s communication style. Duration 2 hours
Working with Market Watch
This on-line presentation assists the agent in understanding how to use MarketWatch as an analysis tool to understand their business in the area they are working. Online
This e-learning course is an update to ensure the agent understands the FINTRAC Process when identifying their clients using the FINTRAC Forms. Online
NEW – Effective Listing Presentations, how to wow your sellers: Facilitator Scott MacPherson
This course offers tips and tricks to get the listing when conducting a listing presentation. Includes questions and writing your own script for potential questions you could be asked. Duration: 3 hours
NEW - Understanding Multiple offers and Multiple Representation: Facilitator: Catherine Johnson
This course is designed to educate the participants of the proper disclosures of multiple Representation and Multiple offers.
TREB/ Manager seminars are held regularly in all Branch Offices
Review of MLS Practices, Everyday use of FORMS, Compliance, Benefits of using the Buyer Registry and topical issues happening in the real estate industry.
Outside Experts: regularly conduct seminars on topics such as
Negotiations, Assignments, Mould Dangers, Compliance with Privacy, Understanding Home Inspections, Builders Agreements, Duties of a Real Estate Agent.
Right at Home Realty has formed relationships with certain vendors that conduct seminars or lunch and learns in the Branch Offices. In most cases, the vendor(s) offer a discount on their services.
